Today Kenya celebrates Mashujaa day (Heroes' day); a day to honour anyone who contributed positively to Kenya, especially towards the struggle for independence. What I like in Kenya is that, in case a National Holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, they just shift it to Monday! Hilda and I leave home at 8.00 am for a track session. Training at the famous Kamariny track in Iten is an incredible experience. This soil has been touched by so many athletes who later became World or Olympics champions! Apart from that, it's situated at the edge of the escarpment, overlooking the Kerio Valley.
